It is marked, Hickok 1943 and has 3 claw hooks instead of 2. The strap is longer than the normal 2 hook sling that was used on the 1917 rifle, 1903 rifle and the M1 rifle. The extra length was for the over the shoulder firing position for walking fire. The sling is in very minty condition and the leather is supple with no cracks, tears, loose stitching. It still retains the natural tan leather color. It has not been saddle soap or polished. This is a scarce leather to find in any condition and this sling would be very hard to upgrade.
