Our only discovery at an otherwise promising estate sale yesterday was this sling, found of all places in a 3. The sling appears to have not been issued as there is really no wear and no evidence of the claws being in the adjustment holes except one pair on one section. The markings BOYT -42- are excellent. The sling has never been oiled. Very heavy, strong leather. Just a slight amount of verdigras on the brass rivets holding the steel hooks.
