M-1 Garand, M1903 Springfield type Leather Rifle Sling dated 1918 marked G&K. This appears to be a WWI, World War I manufactured sling that is in nice shape. Up to you to use it to carry M-1 or’03. Major problem is that the rivets on one of the hooks needs to be repaired. I was told that there are rivets available to do this. The leather is soft, flexible and not dry rotted. The second hook looks to be firmly attached. The loop that holds the extra strap in place appears to be sound. The strap is in great shape, but there is some minor cracking on the leather in a few places. There are no rips or major flaws in the leather though. Most of the wear is normal aging. The stitching is all tight and original with no issues. The metal fixtures are in great shape with no issues as well. Guaranteed original and authentic.
