Excellent condition Vintage Brownell’s Latigo Rifle Sling, looks like New Old Stock, appears unused, but shows some scattered age spotting on the leather. Comes with two Uncle Mike’s Swivel Attachments. Some of the brass shows mild verdigris that needs to be cleaned off. Leather width is 1-1/4. Brownell’s Latigo markings on the leather, Made in West Germany stamped. The leather is soft and supple, not hard at all. A very nice quality piece. This is a beautiful braided leather rifle sling. It uses 7/8 inch swivels and measures 40 inches as pictured. Narrow swivels are common on European rifles and shotguns. Also on the FWB 124D Airgun. American swivels are 1 inch. The European swivels on some vintage guns measure closer to 7/8 (I’m sure its a metric measurement). Finding slings to fit these narrow swivels can be extremely difficult to find, so this sling is somewhat rare. It is stamped Made In Germany. Braided slings are someehat difficult to find. I used to collect European hunting rifles and I always thought that braided slings looked traditional and particularly handsome on them. It is in very good condition. The leather is soft and pliable.
