leather rifle sling

This is a original wwi era us army leather sling used on the m1903 springfield, m1917 enfiled and i belive the usme m1907 – marked: lerch bros. This is an original wwi era us army/usmc leather sling. The sling is marked lerch bros. D on the short strap. The marking are good and readable. This sling has the correct wwi blackened brass hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has two leather keepers. The leather is soft and supple. There is some minor wrinkling on the surface of the leather. No deep cracks or breaks. The leather has darken with age, but still retains that rich russet brown color and a few splashed of paint. The stiching is all tight and intact. This is an original functional wwi era sling and would look great on a wwi era rifle.
