To accomplish this I use premium 8-10 oz. Unlined Leather that I freehand cut my wild designs out of with a razor knife, then stamp and tool borders and your name, ball team, favorite quote or phrase into. On the shoulder style shown, (Design #2) I use an antiquing Dye that makes the letters stand out and gives the center of the design a warm almost old wood look, then I Dye the Border and the lower adjustable belt a contrasting Dark Brown. I finish off the sling with your choice of nickel or brass hardware and thumb ring and several coats of leather protectant which is hand rubbed to a semi-gloss luster. When your strap arrives it will need the 1 inch sling swivels of your choice found at Walmart or any sporting goods store to attach to your gun.
