Condition of leather is good and supple, has darkened over time, complete with heavy stitching, both leather keeper loops, proper adjustment holes and both correct pattern brass hooks (fittings). Some cracking is evident but overall it is totally functional and serviceable. An excellent upgrade for any U. Issue WWI or WW2 rifle. It definitely shows age but it has been well stored and cared for. This is a fantastic find for the WWI or Springfield 1903 collector.
