Original Gew 98 Rifle Sling Complete with Hardware. Original crosshatched leather rifle sling for the Mauser Gewher 98 Infantry Rifle. The sling is in good serviceable condition and the leather is soft and supple. Some minor surface flaking of the leather. No markings on the metal parts but the leather sling has some very faint ink markings on the smooth side as shown in photo #6. I was told by an expert that the sling was likely manufactured post WWI during the 1930′s period, perhaps for the Gew 98 rifles with the updated rear sites. The overall length of the sling is about 43 inches. The leather strap itself is about 41 inches. The sling in the photos is the exact one you will receive. Low start price and no reserve!
