WWII Era German Army Leather Sling for K98 Mauser Rifle – Original – Nice Condition. The leather has darkened with age and usage. The leather is soft and supple. You can still make out the cross thatched pattern in the leather. Some minor surface cracks. There are no visible markings or dates. It has a button stud, instead of the leather bound sling keeper. Post-WWII Era German Army Leather Sling for K98 Mauser Rifle – Original – Unissued Condition. The leather is in Unissued condition. It shows no evidence of prior usage. The leather is soft and supple. It has the cross thatched pattern in the leather. No cracks or crazing in the leather. There is an ink stamp on the rear of sling “Made in Germany”. This sling has some damage with two nicks to the side of the sling, cracking and staining. The metal buckle is marked L&F that shows some rust to the metal parts. Can not find any other markings. This sling is better served as a display sling. The nicks in the sides are both on the side that does not show when drawn tight to the rifle.
