German mauser kar98az or kar98a rifle sling. This is a replica, made just like the originals from old german sling leather. The sling has been patterned off of paul pietsch’s drawings from his book on prussian/german equipment from wwi and before. A copy of the drawings and regulations are sent with every sling. This is the model with the sliding metal buckle which was used during wwi. Made just like the original. The slings are made out of old german sling leather and stitched with natural linen thread by me. The stock frog/keeper is not made by me, but is as close to the original as you can get. I have been making these slings for over 25 years and they are like the original german quality in every way. It is almost impossible to find original slings in today’s market and if you can they are very expensive. Dress up your kar98az with one of these and it will make the carbine look complete. The sling is also the model that was used on the kar98b.
