It’s seen a good amount of use, but is more than pliable and shows no signs of cracking or general weakness. Regardless, I’m not a leather expert. Refer to the photos for its appearance and condition. These were made with either blued steel or brass hardware. This is a nice brass example and thus has no rust, which is a definitely benefit. The Finnish [SA] marking is nice and deep and well proportioned. Made in Italy for the M38 and M91/38 series of short rifles. Very good condition original WWII Italian Carcano rifle sling. Fits all Carcano rifles and carbines. Leather is soft and supple and shows some normal wear. Full length 48 long and is complete. Nice original sling for your Carcano. No cracking of leather where it fits to the sling swivel. This is a structurally strong sling still usable in the field.
