Original WW1 Leather Rifle Sling Marked R. I CANT QUITE MAKE OUT THE TOP SET OF LETTERS. Use pictures as they are part of the description. I don’t know much about the markings, but I’m sure someone does. Sling is in VERY good condition for its age. It is NOT dry rotted. Measures 1 and 1/8in. Vintage Original Martini Henry Leather Rifle Sling. This sling was likely imported from Nepal in 2003 by IMA. This sling was likely made between 1890 and 1910 and is 44 in length. You just need a leather lace to tie the sling together after you pull the sling through the holes at the end of the sling. Expect scuffs, creases, imperfections, and some stiffness in a few spots. They are over 100 years old at this point. The slings are suitable for display on the rifle and are strong, but they are of course very old. Decent original WWII M1 Garand sling. This would be a nice sling to finish off a good original M1. Its flexible but could use some care. I would not use this for much of anything beyond show.
