Orig WW2 Model 1907 leather rifle sling.. In excellent condition having both leather keepers and all rivets intact on claws.. Leather has only light wear, it has scuffs and marks from use but none of the horrible cracks from being strung on a rifle too long and too tight.. Orig WW1-WW2 Model 1907 leather rifle sling. A great sling for your 1903 springfield, US Model of 1917 or even on into ww2 for your Garand etc…. Strong enough for light use but I always recommend these for display as they just don’t make em no more….. Super fexible and strong with no signs of over oiling and such… Brass claws have all three rivets on one and one back is snapped off on other.. I kindly appreciate all the interest from my past listing of this sling and I have spent the past 2 weeks constructing another sling, so offered here is a great replica of the famous, impossible to find, USAF M13 Aircrewman shoulder pistol holster sling that was made famous by Lee Harvey Oswald when he used it with his (using the term “his” loosely) Italian Carcano rifle on November 22nd, 1963 in Dallas Texas. This replica is handmade nearly exact to the original I have, including the original style crimp fit plain faced double cap rivets, etc. Please see my pics of my original sling next to this replica to see the near exact construction and dimensions. Features same quality and thickness of leather, plus the correct black finish and shape, plus I was able to achieve just the right amount of grime/dirt to really complete the look. This example truly compliments the look of your Oswald Carcano replica set-up and is a must have to complete your LHO clone rifle display, so don’t miss it as it takes me quite a long time to make this and doubt I’ll be making another one. The last few of these I made are now being used in several museum displays and Television/movie documentaries regarding the assassination. RARE VINTAGE 33 INCH LEATHER R. 1917 RIFLE SLING / BELT. THIS IS A GREAT OLDER ORIGINAL RIFLE SLING. THIS I BELIEVE WAS MADE FOR A M 1 RIFLE. THE COLOR IS A DARKER BROWN. Standard issue WW1 1907 pattern sling used on the 1903 Springfield rifle and the M1 Garand Rifle made famous as the standard rifle of the U. Military from WW2 to just before Vietnam. M1907 WWI Leather Sling in good condition. Service rifle Sling at the time of the adoption of the M1917 “Enfield” rifle was the M1907 leather sling used with the M1903 Springfield. The M1907 Sling was adopted for use with the M1 Garand rifle in 1936. The M1907 Sling was used throughout WWII with the “M1″ rifle. The adjustment hooks and hardware on early M1907 Slings were made of brass, while the later WWII examples had steel hardware. The M1907 Sling was also utilized with the Winchester M1897 Trench Gun during WWI and on all WWII Winchester, Stevens, Ithaca, etc trench guns and riot guns equipped with slings. Condition of leather is good and supple, has darkened over time, complete with heavy stitching, both leather keeper loops, proper adjustment holes and both correct pattern brass hooks (fittings). Some cracking is evident but overall it is totally functional and serviceable. An excellent upgrade for any U. Issue WWI or WW2 rifle. It definitely shows age but it has been well stored and cared for. This is a fantastic find for the WWI or Springfield 1903 collector.
