Original WWII Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling for the M1903 Springfield, M1918 BAR, M1917 Enfiled or M1 Garand Rifle – Unmarked – NICE Condition. Ther are no visible markings on the sling. This sling has the correct WWII Blackened Steel Hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has one leather keepers. The leather is soft and supple. There are several areas of surface cracking and the common cracks between the adjustment holes. Please see photo’s. The leather has darken with age, but still retains most of that rich russet brown color. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original Functional WWII era Sling and would look great on a WWII era rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommened for actual use. For sale here is a nice M1907 Leather Sling. The sling is made of a heavy saddle type leather and has blued metal fittings. I can find no markings on the sling. There is no leather smell and there is some surface cracking at a few of the claw holes, and age speckling to the metal claws that are all consistent with considerable age. The sling is strong and supple, but the cracks appear where the sling has been folded for a long period of time. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have. Ther are no visible markings on the sling. This sling has three correct WWII Blackened Steel Hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keepers. The leather is soft and supple. There is some minor wrinkling on the surface of the leather. The leather has darken with age, but still retains most of that rich russet brown color. The stitching is all tight and intact. This sling was originally made specifically for the M1918A3 BAR Rifle. It was made slightly longer and with three adjustment hooks, instead of two. This was to help make it easier to adjust the sling. This is a 1 1/4 standard width, so it is interchangable with any WWII era US Rifle. This is an Original Functional WWII era Sling and would look great on a WWII era rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommened for actual use. This is a nice leather rifle sling. The sling is in very good condition with scratches and is dirty (see photos). I have found no markings and the sling is 3/4 wide with a nice decorative design. These are the same style as what grandpa had on his Garand in WWII. The unmarked one appears to be a little shorter in its maximum length than the one marked Hunter.
