WWII US ARMY AEF M1907 Leather Sling – M1 Garand M1903 Springfield Rifle. The sling is in great shape, still pliable and usable on any Springfield Rifle(1903, M1917, M1). The brass has green tarnishing forming on and around fittings(I left it as is). There is signs of cracking near the bends on the sling(3rd photo), it was taken off a 1903. A hard to find original leather sling for the Japanese Type 38 Arisaka Rifle. This is guaranteed original and was taken off a Japanese Type 38. The leather is in very good condition for its age and is still flexible and can easily be put on a rifle to complete a display. These are very hard to find anymore. There are no visible markings or dates. The sling has the leather keeper, but is missing the leather stock piece. The leather is soft and supple. No rips or tears in the leather. There are some minor surface cracks and wrinkling of the leather, please see photos. The leather has darkened due to age. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original Functional WWII era Mauser Rifle Sling and would look great on a WWII era Mauser Rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. WWII US M1907 sling for the M1 Garand and 1903 Springfield rifles. Fresh out of the woodwork with dust and a thin white film that wipes right off. I’ll leave it to the next owner to gently clean or leave as is. Solid original condition with steel hardware and both leather keepers. No visible markings stamped or ink, which isn’t unusual with these slings. Original and very nice WWII Japanese leather sling for the Arisaka Rifle. This sling was recently taken off a beautiful Vet bringback Type 38 Arisaka Carbine. This sling was designed to be used on any Arisaka Rifle (both Type 38 & 99) Rifle or Carbine. The sling remains extremely sturdy, is not age cracked, and remains very pliable in condition. Sling has both its sewn leather keepers intact as well as its original brass stud. Overall a beautiful original Arisaka Rifle sling.
