For sale here is a great looking US WW2 M1903 Springfield or M1 Garand Leather Rifle Sling. The sling is made of brown leather and has darkened steel hardware. Unfortunately, the steel hardware has lost almost all of its finish, but it does have a nice mellow patina. As is common with these, there are some surface cracks at some of the prong holes. However, the sling remains supple and strong, and there aren’t very many of the cracks compared to many others that i have owned. This sling appears to be marked BOYT 43. However, this is very light and very hard to see. The eighth picture is where i have tried to photo the marking. It takes just the right light and angle to see the marking. Original WW1 US Army Model 1903 and 1917 Leather Rifle Sling. The leather is untouched and untreated. Shows age, dryness and wear from use but overall still very supple and retains it’s original russet color. Ready to attach to your rifle. Please let me know if you have any questions. This listing is for both slings pictured. The one sling is marked L. And is dated 1918 with some letters under that which I cannot make out. For sale here is a fair US WW1 M1903 Leather Rifle Sling. The sling is complete with two leather slides, 1 brass slide loop, 1 brass hook, and 1 steel hook. The sling appears to be put together from two separate halves. The only part of the marking that i can make out is the date of 1917. The maker name appears to be above the date, but i can’t make it out. The sling shows some light cracking at the holes, with heavier cracking at the holes that it was buckled in for the longest.
