leather rifle sling

Here is a nice example of an early boyt 1942 leather model 1907 rifle sling… Most makers were still using brass at this early point in the war before the switchover was made to steel due to metal shortages…. The marking is faint but it’s 100% the real deal……. Leather is very nice and super strong with none of the crazing that would cause it to break by the holes…. The scuffing you see in the pics is also strong in this area…. it has not been overly treated with pecards or similar either! … I added one original (the darker one) keeper to make this complete…. Sling has not had any added holes or been shortened… A classic piece to be sure… Correct for the m1 garand, 1903 springfield, model 1917 rifle as well as their variants. Any questions just shout.
